We weren’t created to be alone
Every child longs for safety, stability and connection.
Instead, children entering foster care face loss. And when there aren’t enough foster homes in a child’s city, that loss is compounded when they are moved to an unfamiliar town, school, and community – often without a sibling.
This often leads to a sense of hopelessness that many children feel today and carry with them into adulthood.
Opening doors so children can belong
Children’s Village has provided hope and healing for families in northeast Texas since 1980 by meeting practical, spiritual, and emotional needs. We do this in two primary ways:
Child Placing Agency
To answer the call for more foster homes in Smith County and the surrounding areas, we expanded to form a Child Placing Agency in January of 2026. Empowered by our decades of knowledge and experiences, we want to make fostering more accessible by walking alongside Christian couples with the training, resources, and community they need to be fully equipped and confident.
Healing is possible
A community that takes care of its children and families in need is a community that reflects God’s love, care and stability.
